Crown to Couture: Bringing fashion history to life with sound

We are delighted to see Universal Production Music tracks featured at Crown to Couture, a fashion exhibition at Kensington Palace, London, dubbed by the Evening Standard as "Surely the starriest fashion exhibition London has ever seen." The exhibition opened in April and runs until October 2023.

18th Century inspired music from Universal Production Music labels Koka, Killer Tracks, and Kosinus, and composers Brice Davoli, Alexander Hitchens, and Pierre Arvay, feature in three different areas of the prestigious exhibition. From powerful electro beats to sentimental 50s vintage archive recordings, each track helps enhance the overall experience and tell the subtle messages that clothing can deliver. By bringing our music into the palace, we hope to open new creative opportunities for our songwriters and allow visitors to experience a memorable showcase enhanced by quality compositions.

Featuring over 200 items from ball gowns to court suits and handbags to jewellery, from Beyonce, to Lizzo’s Met Gala gown, the exhibition draws fascinating parallels between the world of today's red carpet and the Georgian Royal Court in the 18th Century.
